Want to Get Happy? Go to Church!
A recent survey in the American Sociological Review (ASR) suggests that a "high rate of life satisfaction" is a byproduct of the Christian life. Researchers found that people who frequently attend church and other places of worship are happier than those who attend less frequently.

Stewardship Thought 1.
Stewardship is the free and loving response to the grace of God in our lives. As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God's varied grace. (1 Peter 4:10)

Stewardship Thought 2.
Use the talents God has given you in service to others for His glory. Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for man. (Colossians 3:23)

Stewardship Thought 3.
Love causes lavish giving as demonstrated by the grateful woman who anointed Jesus with costly perfume. I tell you the truth, whenever the gospel is preached throughout the world, what [this woman] has done will also be told, in memory of her. (Mark 14:9)

Stewardship Thought 4.
God wants us to be channels through which he can reach people. But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth. (Acts 1:8)

Stewardship Thought 5.
The use of checkbooks and credit cards reveal much about our relationship with God and our priorities. What good will it be for a man if he gains the whole world, yet forfeits his soul? (Matthew 16:26)

Stewardship Thought 6.
Who's on your Christmas list? Family members and some close friends? Did you know that you are on God's list? For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. (John 3:16)

Stewardship Thought 7.
In the new year, may we no longer conform to the pattern of the world, but be transformed by the renewing of our minds. You were taught … to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; to be made new in the attitude of your minds. (Ephesians 4:22-23)
